Montrose Data Protection & Recovery Solutions (MDPRS) charges $50 hourly for on-site or remote consultation and implementation of a comprehensive data protection and/or contingency plan for data loss. While we can work with just about any software or hardware you might already have in place, we can also provide any or all of the equipment needed to carry out this plan.
In nearly all cases, the cost of reasonable data protection pales in comparision to the cost of data recovery... and you simply cannot put a price on "buyer's confidence" or "peace of mind".
In our experience, data recovery can cost as little as $250 for simpler tasks and as much as $5000 or more for complex platter imaging and tedious bit-by-bit extractions. This range encompasses situations including overwritten partitions, deleted or corrupted files, viral infections or physical media damage and/or destruction. As part of our $150 emergency evaluation fee, we will conduct a thorough physical and logical examination of your media and provide you with a written estimate for potential recovery solutions. Should you decide to pursue recovery, the evaluation fee will be applied to any recovery fees in excess of $750. Because of the extensive deconstruction phase, there will be additional charges for requests to return defective media to its original "failed' condition. There are additional charges for replacement media or any replacement parts.
If you are certain that you can replace or recreate lost data for far less than the cost of protecting that data – you do not need our services.
